How Does It Work?

1. Format is 2-Person Teams playing team Best-Ball Match Play (individual stroke per player with lower of 2 scores being your “team” score). Must register as a 2-Person Team. The registration cost is $20 per team which is used for the prize pool payout at the Championship round. Maximum of 32 teams per flight per course.

2. You pick the course where you would like to play your matches. The 10 options for courses include:

  • Metro – Goodrich (St. Paul, MN)

  • Metro – U of M (Minneapolis, MN)

  • East – Southern Hills (Farmington, MN)

  • East – River Oaks (Cottage Grove, MN)

  • West – Riverwood National (Albertville, MN)

  • West – Timber Creek (Watertown, MN)

  • South – CreeksBend GC (New Prague, MN)

  • South – Summit GC (Cannon Falls, MN)

  • North – Hidden Haven (Cedar, MN)

  • North – Oneka Ridge (White Bear Lake, MN)

3. TCG creates the brackets and teams communicate with each other to setup their matches. Public Country Club members may use their PCC membership for greens fees during matches. Non-PCC members simply pay greens fees at time of each round.

4. The max team combined handicap to enter is 29 and 4 flights will be created based on combined team handicap (Flight A, Flight B, Flight C, Flight D). A USGA GHIN or Grint.com handicap is needed to validate your handicap. Don’t have a handicap? Create an account and www.grint.com and post your 5 most recent scores to calculate a handicap. NOTE: The MAX difference between playing partner handicaps is 8.0 and if one playing partner is a 3.9 or less handicap, that team will automatically be in the A flight.

5. For each round, teams will have a 14 day window to complete their match.

6. The winning team from each flight for each course will receive an invitation to play in the TCG Team Match Play Championship on Saturday, September 16th (course TBD) against winning teams from the other courses.

7. Dates for each round to be completed are:

  • Round 1: July 17 – July 30
  • Round 2: July 31 – August 13
  • Round 3: August 14-August 30
