FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Who Can Join?
Anyone who is 21 years of age or older and
single. This includes those who are
legally separated, divorced, or widowed. If you get married, it's adios!
Congrats,
but we are a singles group! All ages 21+ are welcome. We encourage you
to
round up some other single friends and join the club!
2. What and How Often Are Events Held?
We offer Friday Nine-and-Dine events, 9 and 18 hole
tournaments,
as well as plenty of social opportunities. You may also get your own group
together anytime and the convenient web-based NGN communication center
makes it easy to send out invitations.
Social
events continue throughout the year.
Events and outings are scheduled
throughout
the Twin Cities metro area and
trips to greater Minnesota (eg Brainerd, Duluth,
etc)
are also planned. We
attempt to blend a combination of easier and more
challenging courses to
meet the needs of all members.
3. Do I have to be a good golfer to join?
Golfers of all skill and experience are necessary. The best way to
improve at golf is
to play and learn...which is what we are all about. Group outings are fun
and
group lessons provide the opportunity to improve your game in a social, fun
atmosphere.
4. How much does it cost and what do I
get for my dues?
Annual dues are $55 and include
(1) USGA
Handicap card service, player statistic
tracking, and ability to communicate online with other club members via the
National Golf
Network (NGN) system, (2) a welcome pack that includes a logo'd teeshaker and
a $10 Golf Galaxy gift certificate and (3) invitations to club events and social
functions.
Non-members may participate in events but are assessed a $10 additional fee per
event.
5. How do I sign up for events?
All event signup is done via a secure online signup form. As we must
guarantee and pay for number of committed players, all players must be pre-
registered and prepaid. Sorry, no refunds are offered if cancelled less
than
7 days prior to the event. Upon signup, your name will be added to the
pre-registered list on the website.
6. How do I join?
