Can you hit the long ball?

We are turning the 17th hole at Stillwater Oaks GC into a Long Drive grid to find the Twin Cities’ longest hitters.

When Is It?

Qualifying Rounds:
August 26, 2017  from 7-10 am
September 2, 2017 from 7-10am

Finals:
September 9th from 7-10am

Fee:
$20 for 6 balls (contestants may purchase multiple attempts)

How Does It Work?

• RSVP a spot by filling out the form below.
• Show up for the Qualifying Round (pay the day of)
• The top contestants at each qualifying round advance to the Finals

Prizes?

• Custom made belt buckle to the winner
• $500 VISA card to the winner plus $500 pro-shop credit will be divided among competitors at the finals
• All contestants receive a $10 gift certificate to TwinCitiesGolf.com

FAQ

• As in the World Long drive, all drivers must conform to USGA Specs. There is a USGA limit on length, but not on the loft of the golf club. You can swing up to a 48″ driver in this competition.

TwinCitiesGolf will be creating & filming a new local golf reality show called “Birdies, Burgers & Brews” where we will highlight in different cities in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin the best golf course, burger joint & brewery/pub/local beers.

Everyone is welcomed to apply to be on the show & 4 people per episode will be treated to a day of great golf, dining at the best burger places on the planet & beer sampling.

Those selected will spend a day with the film crew golfing, eating at the best local burger places, sampling beer and experiencing the best that city has to offer.

July 4th Red, White & Blue 6-6-6 Event at Southern Hills GC

Tee it up on Tuesday, July 4th at Southern Hills GC (Farmington, MN) for a course-hosted 4th of July “Red, White & Blue 6-6-6 Tournament“.

Format:

• Each golfer choose which 6 holes to play from RED tees, which 6 holes to play from WHITE tees, and which 6 holes to play from BLUE tees. This brings in unique strategy of whether to play for SKINS or overall low score.
• Stroke play
• Double bogey max rule (for pace of play)
• No handicaps used (Straight up play with placement payouts to 1st, 5th and 10th place)

Cost:

• No charge green fee for course members or PCC members. Pay for cart if taken.
• Non-members: $44pp for golf & cart

Prizes:

• On course contests (Longest Drive, Closest to Pins, Longest Putt) & Placement (1st = $90, 2nd = $60, 10th = $50, 15th = $30, 20th = $20) for proshop gift cards included with paid green fee.
• Optional $10 cash skins game (pay proshop at check-in).

Notes:

• Limited to 40 players.
• Must RSVP here on GroupLooper (see below links) to participate as spots are limited. Check in at least 15 minutes before tee time and pay proshop $10 cash if you’d like to be in on the Cash Skins game.
